I am so glad I found your video. The shadow wrap heel isn't hard to do it's just that different people explain it differently. Your video I vote for is the BEST. I used to do this method years ago and forgot . All I remember is the part knitting stitches together. I followed along with you and it all came back to me . I put your video on save to my favorites. I have tried about 20 time on my sock heel decreases and for some reason I cannot get the Patty Lyons Left Leaning decrease to work for me (I've watched her tutorial as well). The wrapped yarn seems to get stuck behind the twisted stitches and I can't catch it with the point of the needle... Any tips?

I’m having a bit of a problem and hoping you’d be able to help me… I’m starting the toe exactly where you say on the crease of the little toe. Once the sock is finished and tried on, the start of the toe has ridden up to the top of the toe next to the little one. Do I need to increase toe length by keeping on with the alternate knit and decrease rows?

I’m an experienced knitter and I have been using the Fish Lips Kiss heel method. This technique is superior! And I don’t have to do the dreaded “ Boomerang” row. Your voice is so soothing and your technique and explanation so clear. Thank you so much! I’m sure this will be my go-to heel technique in the future.God bless you .

As always, your socks are stunning! And, oh-- Denise-- you are really speaking to my heart when it comes to the HARD reads. It continues to be a struggle for me to decide how much difficult content to expose myself to, and how much to protect myself, whether it comes to books or actual news and real world events. It's so important to learn and be aware of the hard things in life that are reality for so many people (sometimes ourselves), but it's also important to protect our souls and well-being. How to decide the balance and level and exposure is one of my biggest challenges. We need to find things that are uplifting and hopeful, but we can't be ignorant or avoid the hard things. What to do? Nobody knows, right? If anybody does, I'd be eternally grateful for the enlightenment. In the meantime, we all dive in and do our best, knowing that the world is a terrible, beautiful place. I find that Mary Oliver's poetry is often a soft landing. All the best to you, and thank you not only for your knitting patterns, instruction, and information, but for all of the true positivity that you bring to the world. Hi, I have purchased your pattern and really look forward to starting socks, which I am not so great at to be honest. One thing, it might be good to add page numbers to your pattern. I printed it out and my printed just spewed it all out everywhere and so I didn't know the order. Had to go back to the pattern and sort it out. Love your happiness with this pattern and will be sure to let you know how I get on. Thanks again..

Hi Denise! I am at the end of this part and am wondering if I’m supposed to decrease on every round or knit one round without a decrease then a round with a decrease. It doesn’t say to do decrease on round 2 in the pattern.

So, so, so helpful! I've been anxious about changing color in the ribbing but not any longer! So far I've made your No Fear Shorty socks (3 times) and your One More Step socks. (They came out beautifully thanks to your thorough videos! You're right, repetition is key, at least for me!) Now I can add stripes to my sock repertoire! Thank you! (I also love the I Love Books and Sock Knitting progress keeper!)
